Back in business

After a few weeks, I’m back in business. Some holidays, lot of interviews and a new flat. My life in London is now kind of set up.

I don’t know where to start as even if I didn’t blog, I was reading a lot. That make me remember how the industry is moving fast and how as a strategic planner you have to stay aware all the time.

But first things first, I’d like to thanks all the people I had a chat with. It was really interesting and refreshing. We spoke about many things, my background of course but mainly how the industry is changing to try to understand where it gonna go.

If I had to resume it, I would say more thinkers vs. doers split as you have in the classic consulting industry, more partners as digital techniques are becoming more and more complex and numerous.

The main challenge would be to think about global strategy without channel thinking, as more and more agencies gonna become a business partner rather than only communication adviser. It seems that I have lot of posts to explore more deeply.

Then, I succeed in my two objectives which were, find a job in London and move into strategic planning. Now, I’ll have to show what I can do and prove my abilities. But I think if you are passionate, you only can be better. I’m going to start on Monday at Tribal DDB London as a junior strategic planner.

Of course, I’m very excited to work with very good planner such as Chris Wood, and I hope to learn a lot while working.

By the way, I’m going to reduce the number of posts, as I wish to focus more on my job. At the same time, I’ll post personal thoughts more than news in the industry. First because I think it’s gonna much more interesting and interactive (I hope, I gonna have more comments and exchange), then it will be better for my English and lastly, between us, if you want internet news, you can learn how to use properly a RSS reader with key tags.
